DokaCAD for Tekla​

DokaCAD for Tekla is now an official modul of DFDS and rolled out in the Doka Group. It is supporting Tekla Structures 2020 & 2021 and six different dialogue languages.

The catalogue is available in DokaCAD for Tekla. Be aware that only a limited amount of formwork systems are supported right now:

Doka Firm Folder​

The Doka Firm Folder brings all important settings like an .ifc export with Doka identity data, view settings, filter options and many more, to your model as soon as you open the program.

Grasshoper Inside Bug​

An error occured if Grasshoper Inside and DokaCAD for Tekla were used in Tekla.

New DokaCAD Icons​

In the past years we have added DokaCAD for Revit, DokaCAD for Tekla and DokaCAD for Inventor - to accompany our existing DokaCAD for AutoCAD.

Together with the marketing department, we have created uniform DokaCAD icons to represent this portfolio of CAD platforms in DFDS.

Support for Tekla Structures 2022 added​

Some useful features in new version:

• Smart Create

Allow the efficient drawing creation of assembly and steel parts. For more information check Tekla Support page or the Doka-Tekla Drawing Webinar

• Direct modification handles for Doka components

  All Doka components have now become even more better to move in 3D Space with 2 drag handle points.

New DFDS customer version is ready to download!​

What’s New? A customer can now download, install and update our software via the new "Doka Software Installer". This installer is a small application that lets you choose what software you want to install and keeps that software up-to-date.

Mayor changes in this customer version (already rolled out Doka internally):

• Support for Revit 2022 and AutoCAD 2022
• New DokaCAD for AutoCAD and DokaCAD for Revit Icons
• News for each program to keep you informed about changes or additions
• Updated or new assistants (Dokadek, Superdek,…)
• Updated formwork templates for several systems (Framax Xlife plus, DokaXlight…)
• Revit support for the formwork systems "ReForma", "DokaXlight" and "Framini"
• Reduced loading times of formwork systems in Revit

DFDS Compatibility Check phase-out​

The "DFDS Compatibility Check" gives you an overview about your computers DFDS capabilities, for example, if it is suitable for 2D or 3D DFDS applications.

As a similar overview already exists in our IT department, we decided to remove our tool with the end of July 2022. For future investment and cost-center planning purposes, please use the hardware list provided by IT department. There you can find the DFDS categories as well.

Export Piece List​

We implemented the functionality to export piece lists out of Tekla. Select the placed formwork components you want to export and click on the function Export Piece List.
